On the macOS platform, the renowned Topaz Video AI eventually has an alternative product, which is SwiftVideoSR created by the new AI tech company JupiterShot located in Hangzhou.
On Mac mini M4 Pro, it achieved 29.23 frames per second when upscaling 1080P video to 4K resolution with SwiftVideoSR.

Note that the processing speed in the screenshot above is 41.58 frames per second, which is faster than real-time because the video size is 1920x802.
You may right mouse button click sample.mp4 to download the generated 4K video clip, examine the video quality.
In the TopazLabs -> Topaz Video AI -> User Benchmarks community section, a user reported that on an Apple M4 Max, it achieved 7.70 frames per second when upscaling 1080P video to 4K resolution with Video AI 7.0.0.

It is evident that SwiftVideoSR's processing speed far exceeds that of Topaz Video AI, being approximately four times faster.
In terms of pricing, the subscription for SwiftVideoSR is $72/year, while Video AI Pro costs $1099/year, making it only 1/15th of the price, with similar processing results from both.
SwiftVideoSR also includes image super-resolution and generative image enhancement features, while Topaz's Photo AI ($799/year) and Gigapixel ($499/year) are charged separately.
Therefore, in my personal opinion, as an alternative to Topaz on the macOS platform, SwiftVideoSR is indeed worth more than what you pay for.
